Fight Corona easily, with this!

I am really thankful for the tremendous love, care and best wishes showered by you all on us and specially I am happy for all the compliments and blessings that you all showered on our son Aditya. That article went widely viral on Facebook and what’s app and was very well received. Many co-op societies decided to take it’s print out and display it on their notice board. A few papers also published it, even though it was viral on social media. My phone was continuously ringing for 2 days without even a pause.

What I realised from all the messages and discussions on phone is that, people are deeply frightened due to this pandemic. People liked my post because it was positive in nature, it offered them a relief and it annulled their fears. Actually, we all should remember that, despite electronic media presenting a very grim picture [due to that, many have stopped watching those news bulletins], death rate of Corona is only 3 %. Rest all are getting cured. Many patients are having very nominal symptoms and many are non-symptomatic. In other words, what it means is that, though there is no medicine for corona as yet, our doctors, with their knowledge, ability and experience are able to cure the patients, using combination of drugs. So first of all, we should remove this fear of Corona from our minds, then only we will be able to face it positively and fearlessly, in case of eventuality, just the way we did!

Many people asked me as to what exactly we did to remove negative thoughts that must have come to our minds when we heard that we have tested Corona positive. Believe me, none of us had any negative thoughts in our mind. We had faith in our Doctor and also a tremendous faith in our Guru. We knew that, he is able enough to pull us out of this situation. So, we both continued with our ‘Sadhana’ even while fighting Corona. This faith gave us the required strength.

Many asked me about our treatment …. We took which medicines etc

It is not proper for me to give the names of the allopathic tablets, because it is the right of the doctor to prescribe them and they all do so depending on the patient’s condition. But I can surely give you the various measures that we took to enhance our immunity. Most probably, it is because of these measures, our immunity was enhanced and we could come out of it easily and quickly.

Our son Aditya had enrolled for the social work [Screening work] that was going on in Thane’s containment zones at the behest of R.S.S.’s Janakalyan Samiti. They were given proper training for that. During that, they were advised to take ‘Extra immune’ tablets of CHARAK co. for building immunity, [daily twice—one in the morning and one at night] and also many other measures like taking ‘Ayush kadha’ regularly , drinking hot water, Yog , Pranayam, taking ‘Arsenic album 30’, adding ginger and 2-3 cloves while making tea etc . These measures are all very helpful in building one’s immunity and apart from all these measures, it is very important to have Lemon family fruits, rich in C vit. We were doing all this very regularly.

Many asked me recipe for ‘Ayush kadha’ [ decoction]. I make it as per the recipe given by Ayush ministry. But I made nominal changes in that as per our requirements. for example, my husband Sudhir had bad cough. So, I used a few Parijatak leaves in it. Also, I used rock candy [ khadi sakhar] instead of jaggery.

Here it goes --

[quantity for 1 person]

· Water -100 ml [ approx. 2 cups]

· Basil leaves -5-6

· Cinnamon [ Dalchini] powder – 1 pinch

· Dry Ginger [ Sunth] powder---1 pinch

· Black pepper powder [ 1-2 pinch---but not to be used if the person is suffering from acidity]

This all should be boiled on low flame and reduced to half and then strained.

One can also add following ingredients in it as per taste and requirement.

· 4-5 raisins [Good in case of acidity, but should be avoided if the person has diabetes]

· Jaggery powder as per taste [ to be avoided in case of diabetes]

· Lemon juice [ 1-2 spoons] [ As per taste and if it suits you]

One should have this kadha twice a day.

Now a days this ‘kadha’ is also available in the markets in the form of tablets. Famous company Dhutpapeshwar, has put it in the market by name ‘Ayush Quath . If we add one tablet of it in boiling water, your quath is ready. Girnar Detox green tea is also a kadha only

One more thing, which everyone should do, but we were not doing is taking steam regularly. When we contracted corona, our doctor explained it to us in detail. When we drink hot or warm water, we take care of our throat. but one of the most important entry points for Corona is nose. This virus stays in nose’s cavity for 4-5 days before entering lungs. Swab is also taken form the nose cavity. So, in order to make it inactive and weak, taking steam is of utmost importance. Rest of the sanitisation methods like wearing mask, using hand sanitiser, washing hands regularly with soap are all very well known. So, no point on elaborating on that. But if we still contract this virus, then rushing to the doctor at the earliest should be topmost priority.

In short, what I feel is that, instead of worrying about conditions at hospitals or quarantine centres, huge bills, death figures etc, one should concentrate on building one’s own immunity and making a resolve that, even if I contract corona, I will definitely come out of it ! Prevention is always better than cure na?
